Topic 4: Ecommerce and Data Science

Ecommerce is the most personal experience of purchasing on an online platform. The internet creates relative homogenization due to data entry across platforms with common characteristics. In this sense, data makes it easier to both count apples and  oranges.

In addition, data can make international trade more inclusive, for example by matching more objective data to consumer behavior, with the prerequisite of course that data is transformed into intelligence (Sirimanne, 2019).
